MY REVIEW
Lucas is a newfound Prince whose brother is the King of Winston Isles. Lucas is given a task by his brother the King, to help keep an eye out on Bryna, a diplomat's daughter. When Lucas realizes who exactly Bryna is - the attractive girl that climbed out the window with her dress stuck in her thong - he realizes what a hard task this is going to be given that he's attracted to her and her feistiness.
Bryna just wants to be on her own and out from under her parents control. That's what this internship is all about. But when the hot guy from the party happens to have orders to watch her, she can't help but be a bit bitter towards him. That is until he saves her.
When it comes to Lucas and Bryna's characters, I absolutely loved them. Lucas was arrogant, cocky and confident, but there's also layers to him. Lucas has a past and he struggles with it, especially when it begins to come back to bite him. As Lucas and Bryna begin to spend more time together she starts to see the hidden depths to Lucas. As for Bryna herself, her character was sassy, confident and never failed to make me laugh. Together their chemistry is undeniable.
That ending though? The cliff-hanger Malone leaves readers with had me yelling and wanting to throw my Kindle across the room. I didn't because it's my baby, but oh my goodness, I can't believe we need to wait until September to know what will happen next. After reading Royal Bastard, I am now a forever fan of Malone's.
