They say going home is easy, and in all reality, it should be. Just not for me.
The small, one-horse town that gave me my roots, that made my soul thrive, is also the
place I never wanted to set foot in again. I left everything behind and never looked back.
Until now. With the death of the man who raised me, I’m forced to return to Boone.
Old wounds resurface, and heartache and loss trump everything once more.
Seeing the man who shattered my world the night of our high school graduation almost
brings me to my knees. Jessie, my once best friend and love of my life, ruined it all for
me…for us.
I’m back in Boone…and my secret is about to rattle the tiny town.

When Jules' grandfather passes away she knows it's time to head back and face the past so that she can be there for her grandmother. She's not the only one coming home though.

Jessie, Jules' ex, couldn't accept the fact that she was pregnant straight out of school. He was headed to college, making a name for himself and he couldn't afford to be tied down. He's always regretted his actions and tried to make it up to Jules by doing right by her grandparents, the only parents Jules ever knew.

I fell in love with both Jules and Jessie, but most especially the little girl who captured Jessie heart right from the get go. So darn adorable.

Bellus' has written a sweet second chance book about two people who were destined to be together despite the rocky obstacles and the time apart. I loved every moment of their story and finished the book in one sitting not able to put it down.

HJ Bellus is a small-town girl who loves the art of storytelling. When not making readers laugh or cry, she's a part-time livestock wrangler that can be found in the middle of Idaho, shot gunning a beer while listening to some Miranda Lambert on her Beats and rocking out in her boots.
